I bought my 1970 Mach 1 T5 in February, 1985 from a friend . . . at night. I thought I was buying a Mach 1, Id never heard of a T5 and didnt learn more for a couple of years. I drove my Mach for about six months and had come to realized my Mach was too rusted out to continue to drive so I parked it. The good news was it was very original and not missing but a few parts most notable the rims, sport wheel covers and air cleaner assembly. And inspite of being structurally weak the odo showed 54k miles. The mileage was verified when I rebuilt the engine in 1990 and the cylinders had only a couple of thousands of wear. Today, Im closing in on the completion of a concours restoration. Im excited to be able to drive it for the first in decades soon. All that remains is to install the glass and the remaining interior. Attached is the starting point of the tear down.

My Name is Gillian Gallentine. I own a 1968 T5 Coupe which my son-in-law and I bought about 5 years ago. it was in truly rough shape. we have been working on it as time and money allow.  We hope to have it on the road within the next 2 years, in all original condition after a total rebuild.
